DJI’s Mavic 2 Air Fold-able and Portable Drone is Designed for Maximum Versatility

The Mavic Air 2 is an excellent choice for beginners and experts alike. It’s easy to operate and has a camera that can capture stunning footage. One of the best features of this drone is its ability to fold up nicely and tuck away into your bag when not in use – it also happens to be one of the smallest drones on the market!

Being about 40% smaller than its older cousin, the Mavic 2 Pro, it does offer some more options for space control. This makes the Air 2 perfect for anyone that has to travel or move around from spot to spot to take those great shots.

Taking Flight – 34 minutes of pure joy

It’s compact, easy to operate, and has excellent flight stability combined with a good amount of movement. This drone comes with a new OcuSync 2.0 transmission system that ensures you get the smoothest video quality possible. The batteries are advertised to give you up to 34 minutes of flight time, but in real terms, it actually gives about ~27 minutes. Take note that as with all drones, battery consumption can vary based on flight modes, wind resistance, and weather, among other factors. Two batteries ought to be sufficient for any photoshoot.

The Big Controller – Smart Comfort

Although the controller is slightly bigger than the Mavic 2 Pro / Zoom controller, you will notice a much more natural feel and comfort when operating the drone. It now has the cellphone slot on top which makes visibility much better.

48 Megapixels Explained – Does it really?

The quick answer is Yes however technically, no. What it does have is a 12MP sensor and the Quad Bayer Array. The Mavic Air 2 is able to capture the higher megapixels because this sensor breaks the true 12MP into 4 pixels. This tech is available in modern cellphones as well, allowing you to take great photos.

Beginner Friendly – ActiveTrack, Obstacle Avoidance & OcuSync

ActiveTrack has been very much improved for this drone, making it fairly difficult to lose sight of a subject. Don’t fire test it though, if the clothing of your targets can camouflage them in their surroundings, it is pretty understandable to lose sight. If everything has similar colors, it can have a harder time.

The transmission system is OcuSync 2.0 which means that the link between drone and controller is exceptional. This means that it has a great transmission distance, allowing pilots to fly up to 4.3 miles (7 km).

The obstacle avoidance is truly remarkable. It so much easier to take video and photos while still being able to walk around. The obstacle avoidance also allows you to avoid any potential crashes which means more footage.

There are a lot of really good points about this drone but obstacle avoidance is one that you will particularly fall in love with. The Mavic Air 2 can sense objects up to 49ft away and will stop, hover or fly a different path if it runs into something – basically giving you more time in the air!

Because of these features, the Mavic 2 Air is an excellent choice for both beginners and professionals alike.

Film – 4k 60FPS

Recording at 4k60 will give you outstanding quality to your videos. See the entire world as the drone sees it with fantastic details.

You can now shoot a full cinematic video with smooth motion blur without having to worry about how you’re shooting it. This is another reason why those that want to take video clips.

Be warned though, 4k60 is shot at h.265. This means that processing your footage will require a pretty powerful computer. It can be very disappointing to see the time you invested into filiming turn into a useless choppy video.
